That Doesn't Make Sense!?!?

1Co 2:14-16 "The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. "For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ."

One of the miraculous things that happens when you repent and put your trust in Jesus is that He "opens" your "eyes". The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to comprehend what the scriptures say. Before we become Christians we are blind to the spiritual. We have no understanding of those things which can only be spiritually discerned. Thank God for His Word. Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." There is no other book in all of history that can claim what the Word of God claims, absolute truth. Thank You Lord.
