Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first His kingdom, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The last half of this chapter is pretty much summed up in this verse. We worry and fret over trying to obtain "stuff" that we get our eyes off of the most important thing. God knows what we need. He is more than capable of taking care of us. Our only response is to seek first His kingdom AND His righteousness. How are we suppose to seek His kingdom and His righteousness? I believe through the reading of His word and prayer.
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
James 1:25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
I love the scriptures.
